Photography, Heritage & Wellbeing Commission by GRAIN Projects

January - March 2025 I was one of three artists commissioned by GRAIN Projects to lead a series of workshops with Dementia & Creativity at the New Vic Theatre, Biddulph Library and the Older People’s Group, Biddulph Youth & Community Zone and Belong Village.

Activities included cyanotype workshops, archival photograph sharing, memory conversations, collage and crafting. Participants were asked to bring their old photographs, resulting in a beautiful array of historical imagery from pet photos, portraits from the 1800s, and more.

The workshops aimed to support and promote better health and wellbeing, and be mindful and inspiring for those taking part.

The project ended with a series of pop-up exhibitions and a project zine.
